FIELD TRIPS

Floral Seperator

The equipment you see and experience was saved by the dedication of many volunteers who gave of their time, labor, knowledge, and money to save some of the past for those of today and for the future. Many of the museum members are present or former railroaders. Others come from all walks of life. Anyone interested in becoming a member may contact the museum for an application.

Car hosts are present in your car or may move from car to car. If you have a question or request, please do not hesitate to ask. We want the Kentucky Railway Museum to be an educational and memorable experience for the students, teachers, and the chaperons. You are welcome to bring cameras and video equipment to record your experience here.

At the Kentucky Railway Museum, we believe the museum is a continuation of your classroom, and as such, we know you will continue to maintain classroom behavior while at the same time allowing students the freedom to enjoy the experience.

The train excursion is 22 miles (roundtrip) and operates on historic tracks through the Rolling Fork River Valley. These tracks have seen Civil War attacks, carried machines and soldiers during WWII, and have helped the citizens of Kentucky in many different ways. The Kentucky Railway Museum proudly operates over these same tracks today from New Haven to Boston. It is a bit of history and culture preserved by the Kentucky Railway Museum in New Haven, Kentucky. We are pleased to welcome you aboard!

STUDENTS:  $10.00

CHAPERONES:  $12.00 (2 complimentary teachers per classroom).

Safety Rules That Must Be Followed:

Please remain seated while the train is in motion. Moving from car to car is not permitted unless an emergency has occurred. If you need assistance, please try and locate a car host.
